UPSC EPFO, EO, AO Selection Process

The selection process for the posts of Enforcement Officer (EO) and Accounts Officer (AO) in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in 2023 will consist of the following stages:

1. Online Preliminary Examination: This will be a pen-and-paper-based exam consisting of 200 objective-type questions. The exam will be of 2 hours duration and will be conducted in Hindi and English. The questions will be on the following subjects:

   • Indian Polity and Economy
   • General Science
   • Quantitative Aptitude
   • General Mental Ability
   • Current Events and Developmental Issues
2. Online Main Examination: This will be a computer-based exam consisting of 300 objective-type questions. The exam will be of 3 hours duration and will be conducted in Hindi and English. The questions will be on the following subjects:

   • Accounting Principles and Auditing
   • Industrial Relations and Labour Welfare

3. Interview: This will be a personal interview conducted by a panel of experts. The interview will be of 30 minutes’ duration and will be conducted in Hindi or English. The interview will assess the candidate’s communication skills, personality, and suitability for the post.
